Jan. 29- Feb. 6th

Finally, a huge winter storm! Tadd piled up snow and made a sledding hill for the kids.

Katherine came over to have dinner and celebrate the first big snow as well as watch the Olympic opening ceremonies.
The kids’ Olympic decorations 🙂
Our current artist is Joseph Cornell. I think the kids captured his style perfectly with their art boxes!

Small moments….

Spencer snuggles

After listening to some Chronicles of Narnia, Em decided to dress up as the White Witch.

Bennett has collected all the batteries in the house, and he is pretty excited about it. 🙂

Flourish studio

Discovered this gem in downtown Lafayette today: a kids’ art studio. (Found out about it from Art in the Park festival a couple weeks ago.)They have open studio hours where you can come in and make art for free!

Bennett and Em enjoyed painting, drawing on paper mounted on the wall, drawing on a chalkboard, and playing in a sensory table. We had the place to ourselves! Probably due to local schools starting this week.

Purdue

Tadd officially is done working as an employee of Purdue and is moving out of his office tomorrow (dissertation and work will be done from home or the library here on out). The kids and I went to see him at the office one more time. He will be leaving quite the view out his window.
Purdue Loeb fountain outside- someone offered to take our picture.
Em the water girl was in her element at the fountain. She ran around inside it over and over and over, getting blasted in the face and grinning.
